Ingredients for the dough:

  • 300 g wheat flour (Type 405)
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 6.1 fl oz warm water
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Filling suggestions (optional):

  • Steamed vegetables with soy sauce
  • Minced meat with onions and spices
  • Chopped mushrooms and spring onions

Preparation:

  1. Stir yeast, sugar and warm water and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Put flour and salt in a bowl, add the yeast mixture and oil, knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.
  4. Divide the dough into equal pieces and roll them out slightly.
  5. Add filling as desired or leave plain.
  6. Place each piece in the BunBud™ machine, press closed – perfectly shaped!
  7. Steam buns for 15–20 minutes in a steamer or over boiling water.
  8. Serve warm – ideal with soups or as a snack.

Tip: For sweet buns, simply add some vanilla and more sugar to the dough and fill with jam!
