Ingredients for the dough:
- 300 g wheat flour (Type 405)
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 6.1 fl oz warm water
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Filling suggestions (optional):
- Steamed vegetables with soy sauce
- Minced meat with onions and spices
- Chopped mushrooms and spring onions
Preparation:
- Stir yeast, sugar and warm water and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Put flour and salt in a bowl, add the yeast mixture and oil, knead into a smooth dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.
- Divide the dough into equal pieces and roll them out slightly.
- Add filling as desired or leave plain.
- Place each piece in the BunBud™ machine, press closed – perfectly shaped!
- Steam buns for 15–20 minutes in a steamer or over boiling water.
- Serve warm – ideal with soups or as a snack.
Tip: For sweet buns, simply add some vanilla and more sugar to the dough and fill with jam!
